Hey guys.

Last week I ordered a body from Warmoth. I already have a Maple/Maple Mighty Mite precision neck with Fender decal.

The body is...

Ultra lightweight Maple, otherwise standard precision body in Antigua burst with matching scratchplate.

I have some CTS pots, Gotoh 201 bridge and other assorted hardware to put into it.

What I really need now is a Dimarzio Willpower or similar pickup, Hipshot ultralite tuners, neckplate and screws.

Will keep you updated!

Hey guys!

My parts are in the UK! Though I was out when they were to be delivered, doh!

So I went with. Ultra lightweight maple Antigua precision bass body,P-J with 70's position jazz pickup rout. Maple/Maple Mighty mite neck, Dimarzio Will Power Middle and Dimarzio Ultra Jazz bridge pickups. Gotoh 201 Bridge, Hipshot ultralite chromes.

Heres the Mighty Mite neck.

With any luck, will have it together within 2 weeks!

Hey guys.

Heres the body and scratchplate! Neck doesant sit flush into the body, but sure that can be sorted out with some sanding. Or i could muck around with the scratchplate...

Very nice Rob. Will be following this post, looking forward to seeing the finished article. Always loved Antigua Fenders, just not fond of the weight of some of those 70's models. Smart choice of body wood for yours.

Thanks for the kind words folks!

Arrived just today are the Dimarzios and the Hipshot Ultralites.

Just waiting on another pot cover from Warmoth (Forgot to order a third when I opted for a P-J config). A Fender Corona neck plate and screws and some dunlop straploks.

I cant wait for the bass to be done, Ultra bright toned beast through a Sansamp VT bass deluxe.

Here is the reason why I went for a bright sounding P bass.

Rob's given this to me for assembly, as I've done a fair bit more of this sort of stuff, and have the tools.

Just did a dry run, first setback, the route isn't big enough for the nice big CTS pots, gonna need a mini one for the tone. All three are the same sort and there seems to be all sorts of debate on mixing log and lin for volume and tone.

Looking great! Can't wait to see this finished.

I ran into the same problem with pot sizes when I pimped my Squier, couldn't fit my nice CTS one in the tone spot. Well... couldn't quite! I ordered a mini and still haven't got round to changing it, I've just got a pickguard that doesn't quite sit flat for now!
