Getting stuff to the continent

Hiya,

I recently moved from the UK to the continent, and won't be renting a van.
How do you guys ship stuff? I have a couple of basses, a cab, even a banged
up double bass I'd love to move to Berlin.

Might be interesting for our many non-UK friends on this forum too, in terms
of buying gear from the UK and so forth.

I`ve used Parcel2go.com to send basses to Greece, and Finland, and was about £40 a time, including insurance (must be sent in a hard-case).

Whatever courier you use, make sure you take out some bloody good insurance.

Read the insurance small print as a lot of the couriers will take your money for insurance but exclude musical instruments. You can get around it by removing the bass necks - not sure about the double bass though!!
