Thanks, but it's not a jazz style bass, and not fretless.

Why dont you just try a set? It's the only way you'll know. I used rounds for years - even on my fretless basses - but I got a fretless Jazz that had a LIGHT (.40-.100) set of flats on it and I really liked them, esp played with both pups on full but plucking over the front of the front pup.

I've had a set on my fretless jazz for a number of years now and I enjoy them too. I just not aware of many recordings out there with them and wondered if many existed.

That's a non-export Jap 65 reissue (US pups) through an SVT-IIP ->Power Amp-> Schroeder 1212L.

Not sure how much of it is mixed with the DI.

TI Jazz flats fingerstyle.

Both pups on full, tone rolled right up.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. Still can't find many commercial recordings but found this on Youtube which sounds nice:
