Guest MoJo
I've seen a number of threads discussing the tension of flatwounds, general consesus being that TI jazz flat have the least amount of tension and Rotosound appear to have the highest tension at the same pitch. What about roundwounds? I have recently replaced the standard Ric strings on my 4003 with Rotosounds which have a cripplingly high tension it seems to me. Which roundwounds are the most pliant? ikay
DR Sunbeams have a softer feel than most. I have them on the 72 Jazz in my avatar, great strings IMO Edited August 14, 2011 by ikay

EssentialTension
I don't usually have much to do with rounds but TI Jazz Rounds are, like the flats, very compliant.
Chris2112
I remember getting some Spector strings and they felt very soft and pliant, very easy going on the hands! They were great strings, but I never used them again because I had to order them from the states at the time.
