Paul S Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 (edited) Putting this on here on behalf of my brother-in-law. Here´s what Gretsch say on their website: "The Gretsch® G5566 JetTM Double Neck combines a standard guitar and a baritone guitar in one single- cutaway solid-body instrument. Features include bound top, maple necks with rosewood fingerboards (24.75" guitar scale length; 29.75" baritone scale length), dual mini-humbucking pickups (baritone) and dual chrome-covered humbucking pickups (guitar), three-position pickup switch for each instrument, two- position neck selection switching, dual Adjusto-MaticTM bridges, silver-sparkle finish, and B60 (baritone) and B50 (guitar) Bigsby®-licensed vibrato tailpieces. ($1,600.00)" It is pretty well un-played, bought on a whim. I don't even think it has been out of his house! he is asking £[s]450 -[/s] [s]£400 [/s] [s]just £375![/s] - NOW ANY SERIOUS OFFER CONSIDERED. No case so collection only from Wanstead E11 or a meet up for cost of fuel. PM me for further details if interested. guzzibass Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Grrrrr!!!! I'd have that if I had the wedge handy. Swap for a Strat??
Paul S Posted August 20, 2011 Author Posted August 20, 2011 BIL is up to his armpits in guitars (according to my sister ) so I don't think (s)he'd entertain a trade.
The Marlin Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Bump, and also offered a link to the good people at GretschTalk forum. Lots of us Brits over there, and we like our Gretschs All the best The Marlin
Paul S Posted December 3, 2011 Author Posted December 3, 2011 Why thank you, kind sir! My BIL has various guitars and the only two I covet BADLY are Gretschs. Not exactly sure what the other one is - a white hollowbody, similar to the Brian Setzer models. Sounds amazing. As does this.
Paul S Posted January 28, 2012 Author Posted January 28, 2012 Bump for a price drop to £400. I had a noodle on this yesterday, it is lovely. There is one tiny flaw - a little chip out of the scratch plate that, because it is sparkle, you have to hunt for.
Paul S Posted November 27, 2012 Author Posted November 27, 2012 An 'Any serious offer considered' type bump. BIL wants this gone as he has been forbidden to buy anything new until it has shifted.
Paul S Posted November 30, 2012 Author Posted November 30, 2012 Make him an offer!.... you can admire it from the comfort of your own home, then.
Wooks79 Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Haha, if I was ever likely to be down there I would prob consider making an offer, but I never am.
