odub Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 Has anyone got any opinions on Riverside basses? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Riverside-Silent-Fre...1QQcmdZViewItem Long story short, I'm being sent to Bermuda in 2 weeks with work for 6 weeks and I don't want to be without an instrument. So something cheap and light and well, not total rubbish is in order. Apparently it’s way too expensive over there to consider buying, though you can get to the US for a hundred quid and 2 hours flight. Quote
Kiwi Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 I wonder if anyone's ever asked him for sound clips? Quote

Bassmonster Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 Wow! Bermuda, nice work if you can get it! Quote

Bermuda, nice work if you can get it!
Ha, yeah a lot of people have said that. Actually, it's not meant to be all that hot, well it's very hot. But not much to do there: One or two cinemas, a nightclub. 6 weeks is a long time to spend locked up in an apartment because it’s either 50 degrees outside or midst hurricane. I’m not really complaining! Quote
paul, the Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 As a bit of a throwback hippie, I think the flower's kind of sweet. But I don't like the funny shaped body. The bass seems a bit unsure of itself. Quote

Y'know, for probably less than £200 you could pick up an Aria Sinsonido on eBay or similar. Might well be a better bet. Just a thought. Quote
Happy Jack Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 Alright, who is Myleen Kl[Myleen Klass] and why has she suddenly appeared in the middle of a quote? We need photos ... Quote

Happy Jack Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 That's a nice top she's almost wearing. I feel like tapping her on the shoulder so she'll turn around quickly ... Quote
odub Posted June 12, 2007 Author Posted June 12, 2007
I'm confused
hubba hubba Back to bass! erm, it doesn't really need to be a fretless, but I've already got 2 fretted and I thought it might be a good time to learn some intonation skills. I think my new plan is to shuttle over to New York and buy something whilst I'm there and take my chances getting it back into the UK in one piece. Quote
