Im gonna use it for mainly bass but also piano and maybe guitar. I was loooking on the digital village website and they have a few good ones. Am i looking in the right place or not ? What should i be looking for ? Im also confused about which program to use. Any ideas or advice ? Thanks your usual all very nice
metalmaniac
For cheapo shtuff, behringer microphones come cheap, and as usual audacity is recommendation (free), however if you look in the recording forum you will find no end to program, and equipment advice. WalMan
What's your budget & what do you need to record, single lines, multitracks, live, along to backing tracks, etc? What PC are you intending to use The first hit googling free multitrack recording software gets THIS. If you don't need MIDI Audacity is OK (and free) and you can record multiple tracks If you have MIDI capability and wanted a free Drum player you could look at Toontrack EzPlayer Check through the Recording forum as well. I am pretty sure similar sort of queries have come up before and you should be able to trawl some useful info from there as well
