EMG Select PJ set

Hey folks,

Looking for a cheap but decent PJ set. Anyone know if these are much kop? Hoping they might be a bit crazy like some mex Fender p'ups are.

That's kinda how I hoped they'd be. Cool. :-)
Looking at a PJ set for about £50. Was just wondering if this was too good to be true ...

I have one in my P copy, i like it!

Didn't expect much given the price tag but was pleasantly surprised, i'd like to try their J set at some point.
I also like the Duncan designed J set but haven't tried their P.

I remember someone telling me that the Select pickups were just proper EMG's housed in the 'Select' casing for marketing reasons, and they were really no different to a big money EMG pickup. Thats clearly rubbish, I had them in my Hohner Jack bass and they were serviceable, probably moreso than their reputation had suggested. But they weren't as good as proper EMG pickups so don't expect the world from them.

They're not bad as passive replacement pickups go.£ 50 is a good price.
