bassatnight Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 (edited) Following a non paying bidder on E-Bay my Lakland DD is back up for sale. She is in as new condition and has an active/passive switch added (along with a pre-amp obviously). Was £550 now £500 or potentially a trade. Trade wise: Fretless P, Stingray, Steve. ben604 Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Looking at "Bass #2" in your sig, you wouldn't be interested in a Geddy Jazz...?!
dave_bass5 Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Sorry to hear you got messed about Steve. Its a lovely bass but just too many knobs for me. Good luck (again).
gareth1982 Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 any interest in my all original 1977 Guild B-301 fretless? Cheers

dave_bass5 Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Did you ever hear back from Chandlers about the pre amp?
bassatnight Posted August 17, 2011 Author Posted August 17, 2011 Evening Dave, they could not recall what the pre-amp was so I am taking the plate off tonight to find out myself. Will report back.
dave_bass5 Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Nice one Im still interested, although as ive said i would prefer a passive one with a Fralin in it. If the pre amp is a decent one them im happy to give it a go. I think i said it in the other thread but if the pup has cloth covered wires i think it should be a Fralin.
Linus27 Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 I've got my popcorn to hand. Looking forward to the ending
karlfer Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 If my Orange goes, the ending may have a twist, mwhaha . Karl.

bassatnight Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 After removing the guard, I am no wiser. There appears no markings bar the numbers 0711. The volume also controls the active/passive switch.

Did the bass have to be hollowed out at all to increase the size of the control cavity to fit a preamp in?
bassatnight Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 I'll take a few photo's, never delved into the electronic side before so any advise would be much appreciated.
A photo of the innards might help Sherlock types on this forum.
