umph Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 (edited) If you've heard of this before you'll know how much of a beast this is but if not basically This was marshalls answer to the svt, It has two channels - one similar to the b15 and another which is marshalls take on the svt. Both channels can be bridged and are foot switchable. It has a inbuilt compression circuit and a 600 ohm POST power amp balanced line out which is awesome. It's been serviced with the aid of john at champ electronics and we've had it on the bench doing 420W and is good to go, although you might wanna invest in some cooling since it really runs the valves hot. It has a brand new octet of kt100's It weighs an absolute tonne due to the epic transformers it has in it (polar oposite of the underrated ones in the newer 400W amp) so i'd recomend pick up but i could post it if you like. Looking for around £1050OBO for this. sorry about the quality did these pictures with my phone. Also feel free to ask any questions about it Edited November 7, 2011 by umph

Thornybank Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Got one, too. Great, they are. Quite cab friendly, I put it through a JCM800 15+2x10. Or a pair of 1984 model 4x12s with 80w drivers. Or a JCM800 2x15 with Sidewinders, All good, Indeed.

rumour6 Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Played Thornybank's... stunning. The power and output transformers give you a sense of what will happen should you push the 'go' buttons... it doesn't disappoint. Andy
Thornybank Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 They look like this.... [attachment=87524:front.JPG] [attachment=87525:back.JPG] [attachment=87528:inside.JPG]
Mr. Foxen Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Them's tiny pics. Not sure they reflect the massiveness too well. See the size of that iron though.

Kees_SoS Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 I just replied to this post on Talkbass. Looks like it could be my old one, which I traded in at the Bass Centre in Brum in September 2001.
umph Posted January 30, 2012 Author Posted January 30, 2012 I got it off a chap from wales so not sure it's the same one
