Hi,

I recently just got a Pedal Train Jr, and had a few questions regarding how other BC users attatch pedals:

Which is the more common tape to use on the board, the rough or the soft?

Is it worth removing the rubber feet/base from pedals before attatching the other side of the velcro?

Thanks!

Commonly, the soft side goes on the board, and the hook side goes on the pedals.

Personally, I remove rubber feet. If they have screws in them holding the pedal together, just screw the screw back in without the rubber foot. Velcro will stick much better on pedals like Boss ones if you remove the rubber backing, yes. Although I think with Boss ones, you MIGHT be able to just flip the back plate round and still have it all screw back together if you don't want to remove the rubber. Don't quote me on that though.

I checked the Boss thing and unfortunately it doesn't check out, at least not on the TU-2 or ODB-3.

Is there anything you would recommend to remove the rubber bottoms from pedals?

I don't remove the rubber backing from my Boss pedals. I just cut thin strips of velcro and lined it. Works fine for me although I remember reading that some people clean the rubber with white spirit / 100% alcohol to ensure a good grip.

i found a solution with my effects with rubber feet. I cut a small strip of 6mm ply and stuck it on the bottom of the pedal and then put the velcro on to the ply. works for me and keeps the pedal in good nick if i wanna sell on.
