Has anyone got any sound clips, or even a review of this product?

I'm interested in buying one, but only if its really actually worth getting.. There have been a few for sale here which makes me think that people dont tend to keep their hands on them once they actually buy 'em!

Hey!

I don't have any sound clips, but I just bought a Bushy Bison from a fellow basschatter. If you're looking for a fuzz for synthy sounds I highly recommend this pedal. I think Muse's Time is Running Out, or Hysteria are great examples of the sort of tones you can nail with the Bison. Really good for funky stuff as well, specially when combined with a good envelope filter (I use the 3 Leaf Proton and the EHX Bass Balls) and an a fat octave pedal (MXR M-288 in my case). If you turn the 'pinch' knob fully clockwise it won't sound so synthy anymore, but in my opinion other pedals do this kind of job better. Maybe a Wren and Cuff Pickle Pie - B, or Tri Pie 70', or even a Tech 21 VT Bass with the character control turned fully clockwise and quite a bit of drive.

I hope that helps. Any more questions, just shoot.

Cheers

Only reason i got rid of mine was i got an iron ether oxide fuzz which can do the mammoth gated sound well and didn't need to fuzz's (Odd i know). Great pedal and the build quality is top notch.

So its not really a good clone, then? of the Wooly Mammoth?
I really want a Mammoth, it's just its price is pretty expensive for just a single effect!

It ofcoruse has its reasons, but Zvex pedals apparently seem to break pretty easily, which puts me off of their prices..
