aldude
On my 5er I use 55-75-95-120-145 which suits me quite well. The 145 is a beast! D'Addario nickel rounds.
bassmanady
I use 45-100 with 125 B string on my R.H.Jazz ...and a lighter 40-100 with 125 taperwound B on my Yamaha BB 2005 as it has a nice slap tone. Voted for 40-100 Edited September 2, 2011 by bassmanady
JamieCooper91
I've played with Ernie Ball Power Slinky's (55-110) for a long time now. My band plays half step down all the time and sometimes I need to tune to C# G# C# F# Thicker strings just work well for me, don't have a problem playing with them either. Didn't realise how few people (at least looking at this poll) used that gauge though!
Paul Clifton
30-90 for me. If I can't bend it at least a tone behind the nut I am not interested I also don't like the rounded tone that comes with any heavier strings on the E and A, though I occasionally try 35-55-70-
Hobbayne
I play in a function band and are sometimes asked to play old reggae classics - 'Kingston Town, Three Little Birds' etc. But you cant do much with spindley cheesewire strings. Hence 45 - 105 on a Precision for me (Roundwounds with the treble rolled off)
clarkpegasus4001
Rotosound 45 - 105 always

krazy_olie
45-100, for ease of playing
Low End Bee
45-105 are fine for me. Lighter gauges I find too 'flappy' and heavier gauges I don't fell any benefit from. I must therefore be Mummy bear.

JTUK
40-118 or 120 or 125. I have a batch of new sets and they are all 40-120 with a T core. I play very lightly. Edited September 6, 2011 by JTUK
Chris2112
Usually 40-100 or 45-100. I've used 30-90's before in the past for that super bendy, super light feel but I'm quite happy with a slightly heavier guage these days.
