Likewise, so I guess 45-100 is nearest!

I use 45-100 with 125 B string on my R.H.Jazz ...and a lighter 40-100 with 125 taperwound B on my Yamaha BB 2005 as it has a nice slap tone.

Voted for 40-100

I've played with Ernie Ball Power Slinky's (55-110) for a long time now. My band plays half step down all the time and sometimes I need to tune to C# G# C# F#
Thicker strings just work well for me, don't have a problem playing with them either.

Didn't realise how few people (at least looking at this poll) used that gauge though!

30-90 for me. If I can't bend it at least a tone behind the nut I am not interested :) I also don't like the rounded tone that comes with any heavier strings on the E and A, though I occasionally try 35-55-70-90

I play in a function band and are sometimes asked to play old reggae classics - 'Kingston Town, Three Little Birds' etc.
But you cant do much with spindley cheesewire strings.
Hence 45 - 105 on a Precision for me (Roundwounds with the treble rolled off)
On my 5er I use 55-75-95-120-145 which suits me quite well. The 145 is a beast! D'Addario nickel rounds.
Now THAT'S a proper set of strings! :)
I currently use 45 - 130's but find myself wanting to go heavier - I'll have to check these out.
