help! my aerodyne jazz creates a constant buzz

could do with some advice - my aerodyne jazz is an awesome bass - but with one problem - whenever its plugged in there is a constant buzz through the amp! i have worked out its definetly the bass and not lead or amp, and ive even had it to a guitar tech guy who couldnt work it out!

has anyone got any advice or even has anyone experienced the same problem?

Im asuming you already have the electrics shielded ?

sounds like an earthing problem.check the wire under the bridge

Does it buzz all the time, or only when the Jazz bridge pickup is on?

If all the time, the bass needs looking at again, howver if its only when the Jazz pickup is on, thats one of the downsides about Jazz pickups.

In my old Aerodyne I replaced the Jazz pickup with a Seymour Duncan Hot Stack. It`s hum-cancelling, but I changed it as that`s what Duff McKagan uses. It sounded like the stock pickup to me, but "more" of it, if that makes sense. A lot fuller, and of course, no more buzzing - whch was nice.

When i was fiddling with the electronics on mine I accidentally pulled off the earth connection to the bridge. That will cause a loud buzz.
Though as said above, if it's on the j pickup that's just normal.

it's a passive bass so not much else it could be
