Jean-Luc Pickguard Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Just found some peanuts down the back of the sofa. Very good condition once you've brushed off the fluff, but the salt may need replacing. There are around eight in total, but to be fair I will split them into pairs unless anyone really wants all of 'em. Quote
Mr. Foxen Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 When you say 'sofa' do you mean 'uncle's loft'? Quote
tommorichards Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Are they still the original factory colour? Quote
Monckyman Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Not much call for possibly re-finished peanuts. Now Monkeynuts and you get my attention. Quote

They're probably M&S extra large salted
Are they still the original factory colour?
under the fluff, yes they do appear to be. hillbilly deluxe Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Are you sure they were not once chocolate covered peanuts ? if they were, that means that they've been re-finned,and so are worth less than original. Quote

Netballman Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Have you considered trading for a mars bar? Quote
paul_5 Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 What about the H&S issues here. You should have warned people that they "may contain nuts". Can't be too careful. Quote

Monckyman Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Not sure. I was tempted but I think I`ll hold out for some J-Nuts. More variety. Quote
fumps Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 (edited) Stick a Fender logo on your nuts & they will be people fighting over them......although i'm not sure if that thought scares me or not. Editted to make my post sound more rude Edited October 10, 2011 by fumps Quote
tedmanzie Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Are these still for sale? I've been trying cashews for a while but I can't used to the size. What's the radius of these? Quote
KiOgon Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Resurrecting a > year old Peanuts thread? They'll be past their best I'm sure, maybe green & mouldy, probably best left down the back of the sofa Quote
Dad3353 Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 You're right to give these away, here. Saves them from going to a landfill site (although they could grow prolifically in such a soil, perhaps..?). They're not worth much anyway. If sold, you'd only get peanuts for them. If they don't find favour with anyone here, don't despair. You can salt them away for future generations. A good, stable, environment for stashing these could be down the back of a sofa, I should think. No-one would dream of disturbing them there; they'd be safe for ever. Quote
ShaunB Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Funny thing... had a new suite delivered last week. The old one was only good for the tip so I took out my trusty old saw and demolished the sofa first. One lonesome peanut was clinging on for dear life. How long it had been there nobody knows. Or why it was there. Or how it got there. I have kept it and was thinking of re-housing it... Quote
daz Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 I thought you were talking about the Peanuts Charley Brown from the 1960s. As I had a dvd of the tv episodes in my hand at the very time I read it, I thought it was a freaky coincidence. It is now relegated to a minor happenstance. Quote
