Just found some peanuts down the back of the sofa. Very good condition once you've brushed off the fluff, but the salt may need replacing. There are around eight in total, but to be fair I will split them into pairs unless anyone really wants all of 'em.

Nah - I'm not pretending they're vintage planters dry roast or anything. They're probably M&S extra large salted

under the fluff, yes they do appear to be.

Now Monkeynuts and you get my attention.
I found some monkeynut shells there as well, but sadly the contents were missing.

I could have them refinished in something that looks very much like chocolate if you like.

Can't be too careful. :)
Nah - not a problem. They are for ornamental use only.

Stick a Fender logo on your nuts & they will be people fighting over them......although i'm not sure if that thought scares me or not.

Resurrecting a > year old Peanuts thread? They'll be past their best I'm sure, maybe green & mouldy, probably best left down the back of the sofa

You're right to give these away, here. Saves them from going to a landfill site (although they could grow prolifically in such a soil, perhaps..?).
They're not worth much anyway. If sold, you'd only get peanuts for them.
If they don't find favour with anyone here, don't despair. You can salt them away for future generations. A good, stable, environment for stashing these could be down the back of a sofa, I should think. No-one would dream of disturbing them there; they'd be safe for ever.

Funny thing... had a new suite delivered last week. The old one was only good for the tip so I took out my trusty old saw and demolished the sofa first. One lonesome peanut was clinging on for dear life. How long it had been there nobody knows. Or why it was there. Or how it got there.
I have kept it and was thinking of re-housing it...

I thought you were talking about the Peanuts Charley Brown from the 1960s. As I had a dvd of the tv episodes in my hand at the very time I read it, I thought it was a freaky coincidence.

It is now relegated to a minor happenstance.
