im pretty happy with the effect and pedals i have atm! i have plans to add a few more but i need to get a slightly bigger pedal board.

but while im doing the upsizing im thinking of making my life easier at the same time!

theres moments in our set where i need no effects and some where i need alsmost all of em! ( ok i dnt need them but its fun! ) and im wandering what you guys who are in the same situation as me do?

so you know what i have heres my board.

bass--digitech whammy( with my boss tu-3 in the direct out )-- swollen pickle--ls2( used to blend my clean tone with a ehx metal muff)--odb3--bf3-- memory boy-- amp

and ontop of this im looking to add a octaver, a wah and as im getting in to synth probs either the boss synth or the ehx but who knows, also i use a few different modes on the whammy and its annoying changing between settings on the fly so any help with that i know its midi but hows that work?

thanks

andy

This is what you need if you want to stop dancing:

Expensive, not so much second hand, but worth every penny...in my opinion.

I'v got quite a few pedals in my board and I use a Gigrig 14 Pro, with just one click I can have any pedal combination I want or none at all.

I got this one here: http://www.bigknobpedals.com/tru_bypass.htm

Affordable and very simple. Of course it can't do everything the gigrig can, but depending on how you want to use it, it'll do the trick. Also good because it keeps non-true bypass pedals out of the signal chain when not in use.
Can you set up that gigrig switcher to allow for pedals inside other loops (a fuzz in the loop of a filter, a filter in the loop of a delay, a bunch of pedals in the loops of an LS-2, etc.) to be switched on/off independently too, or does it only really work for linear layouts of pedals?
You can, but ONLY in the order the pedals are connected. You can use channel 10 for example to turn on the miff nd odb by skipping everything else. You can't however go like this.. Pedal 1 to pedal 5 to pedal 3 like you could with a Switchblade but that is ofcourse a much bigger option and costs a hell of a lot more for that feature.. Only very heavy effects users would want that really.
The gigrig does also hve 2 outputs btw so you can send em both to dif amps and stack effects nicer :)
for the whammy there's a footswitch which will switch modes. I think it's called "molten MIDI" or something
i saw this the other day! very handy bit of kit actually.

i just saw the musicom efx 2 online and this looks spot on!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RstH2u9yN28

looks like i could midi control my whammy, and have 4 different sounds ready at anytime! anyone seen these? and 8 loops is plenty!

but ive looked on the bay and theres nada! dnt really wanna buy new as it means getting the new model which has more stuff i dnt need! and is ££££!

any alternatives? in the same vein as this? the gigrig looks a bit full on for me.

Sorry about the late reply, it works as said on the quote below.

Amazing... but what had me salivating was the Microtubes B3K... I'm really really tempted to get one of those.

I recently bought an Octaswitch and it's solved my pedal and loop switching problems. Really simple to use, no programming or sifting through banks, just set up the loops you want using the switches and play. They can be had for a fraction of the price of other systems too. A great bit of kit and although it is rather chunky it totally justifies it's place on my board. Get one.

cool another thing i can look at! the musicom efx would be my ideal but its seems impossible to find second hand!

even thought of the unthinkable of selling all my stomps and getting bar the whammy and getting an line 6 m13 but im not convinced about the dirt in the m13 sounds wicked on guitar but a tad thin on bass from what ive seen, thats just me tho! not slagging the m13!
