The Fox in Palmers Green used to be my local a few years ago. Some of my bands still live in the area so might try and get to one of them.

Ive played a lot of the covers gigs myself. Used to hate the spinning wheel.

Is it still booked through Steve T?

Ah see I quite like the spinning wheel, its The Fox that is generally pants lol, but will be good to see you Dave.

agreed about the Fox. did a few gigs there years ago before the refit (in fact my singer used to run the gigs there).

Has the spinning wheel still got that small stage with the barrier around it? Used to hate the get out as there always seemed to be a punch up going on.

Well the stage is quite small i guess, but no barrier around it!?
And yeah, it was quite a rowdy place actually, fights as you mentioned, but in all honesty, since the smoking ban it has really calmed down! Whether its a result of the ban, or just a coincidence i don't know!

Ah right. When we used to play (upstairs) there was a wooden fence goinging around the stage. made it very difficult ot get the band and PA on it.

sounds like its changed since we played there.
