Not something I'd bid on myself but certainly one to watch...

Rourke took a hit when he settled out of court in his royalties case with Morrissey,(who said in court that he and Joyce were as "replaceable as lawnmower parts".
He`s been skint for years.
Mike Joyce is doing DJ sets at festivals etc now so I presume he`s skint too.
The stuff in question seems to be a cheap pickup rig for later work and nothing to do with the Smiths so I can`t see it having any cachet to any but the ultra faithful.
IIRC Joyce was a Peavey man during The Smiths.
Up to 1984 when he switched to TE gear.

Very underrated bass player, genuinely nice bloke too. Rourke was badly advised to settle with Morrissey & Marr out of court & got £10k, Joyce went to court & got £1m. Last I heard, Morrissey had refused to divvy up his share to Joyce, citing his US citizenship exempting him from British court rulings, w***er.

Yeah right. Tracks like "This Charming Man" and "William..." really owed nothing at all to the bass parts...

Just goes to show that all singers are tossers. :)

Those Smith's guitar and bass parts are an intrinsic part of the music. In fact, they are probably some of the best indie/rock bass lines Ive heard...

Very memorable, and instantly 'Smiths' as soon as you hear it.

Shame...I did see Andy DJ'ing at Glasto a few years back, the night before it all started, and he did a good job of warming us all up depsite the rubbish weather.
