karlfer Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Thinking strongly about this, not too far from me, but................................? yorick Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Looks like a refinish, and a none original scratch plate, but apart from that, loks good. Quote
karlfer Posted August 28, 2011 Author Posted August 28, 2011 Cheers Yorick. Yup, my thoughts as well. Would have liked some better photos, may persue that in a while. Quote
karlfer Posted September 2, 2011 Author Posted September 2, 2011 It finished with no bids. Am I missing something? Quote

karlfer Posted September 3, 2011 Author Posted September 3, 2011 Cheers warwickhunt, just didn't feel right. Karl. Quote
ash Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011
Cheers warwickhunt, just didn't feel right. Karl.
I contacted him after it ended, he said it was a refin, the scratchplate was a custom job but everything else was original, he said it weighed 5kgs - I'd say about right for a 70s P. Shame he didn't include this in the ad as I think it put many of us off! Sounded a decent enough chap he said he would accept the start price if interested....going to give it a miss as I already have a 70s P bass. Quote
noelk27 Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Disgusting colour. Is it an attempt at Bahama Green? Quote
LemonCello Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Yeah that is a vile colour and it detracts from what would have been a nice bass. Quote
Hutton Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Personally I would never buy a late 70s Fender anything unless I had a go at it first. I've too many memories of dreadful Fenders of that period. Quote
