I thought Squier wasn't around until the 80's & originally just made in Japan. So cobblers right?! Quote

Hobbayne Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011
This is a very cool vintage P - bass. It dates from 1971 SN/ 713961 crafted in Korea.
Well I'm convinced, Wheres me wallet?? Quote
Ou7shined Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 If that's from the '70's then so am I.... I wish. Quote
Musky Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 It's 'crafted in' rather than 'made in', so it's 1996 or later. My guess would be 1997 just going by the first digit, but I don't remember seeing any Squier serials without a prefix before. Weird. Quote

Lozz196 Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Seeing as the ad is headed "1996 Vintage Fender Squier Precision P - Bass MIK" And the wording says "This is a very cool vintage P - bass. It dates from 1996 SN/ 713961 crafted in Korea." Safe to say the seller isn`t trying to pass it off as something it isn`t. Quote
