I also found a few threads knocking about on talkbass etc where guys with VTC fitted Sadowskys said that the difference was minimal. Quote
Musicman20 Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Sadowsky will sell one directly. The Gallery may also be able to help. Quote

That'd seriously suck. I'm imagined it was more like the tone control of the Fender's? [quote name='Musicman20' post='1356012' date='Aug 30 2011, 10:13 AM']Sadowsky will sell one directly. Obviously I'm only going on what I've read etc & have not tried it out. It just ultimately didn't seem worth it to me having looked in to it. Also with boost controls at zero I find I can get a more passive kind of sound out of my Sadowsky anyway. Quote
Doctor J Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 I used to have one on my old Metro and, to be honest, couldn't picture using the bass without one. They make a huge difference, in my experience. Quote
CHRISDABASS Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Yeh they're just like the tone control on a passive fender but they work in both active and passive modes! Excellent for more of a vintage vibe! even better when used with the treble boost in varying amounts of each to create some great textures! I wouldnt be without mine Quote
grahamd Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Theyre essentially just a treble cut, but the one on my MV5 sounded great, dark but punchy Quote
