LukeFRC
got it! Nice, all black side jack, volume, pickup selector switch and active preamp..... not sure whats working but it feels nice in the neck and seeing that a secondhand sue ryder neck will set you back the same amount..... LukeFRC
doesnt exist without photos. Plugged it in, and it works fine, something is bizzing in the treble control which should be an easy fix. It plays quite nice considering the strins are at least 15 years old, nice and light.... not bad at all. Nice neck. So all in all a good buy, not sure what I will do with it mind, I would have jumped on a passive japcrap jazz and ended up with a active japcrap PJ so it may end up fixed up and in the forsale secton up for a trade. we will see. LukeFRC
so it's quite a nice bass, nice neck, nice smooth edges to the finger board, the body is fairly light, i guess basswood buy it's softness. I'm not a fan of the all black finish though esp on the back of the neck. Any suggestions of what to do with it? Half of me is tempted to mod the hell out of it, possibly a passive JJ set up or maybe a JM setup, and then would taking the black off be a good idea or a stupid one. Alternaltivly part of me thinks selling it and keeping my eyes open for a simiar japcrap jazz bass might be a good idea. any thoughts?
