Stingray5
Like the sign says - a device that keeps guitars in tune – forever?! Although this CNN piece focuses on the guitar, it does also apply to the bass. (Not that we need it as much as guitarista's, of course! ) How well it works in general is another thing. Anyone tried it? http://tinyurl.com/3tdne9o
Doctor J
I like the way it doesn't really go into any detail about the device at all I think I'll pass. Once I learned to set up my instruments properly, I've never had a problem with going out of tune... ever.
thisnameistaken
Looks like a clever idea. Sure you can always tune up yourself but if it keeps a guitar in tune for a whole set then that's going to really improve anyone's gig from the audience's perspective. charic
Honestly my basses are hardly ever out of tune and don't adjust them very often at all.
LeftyBiskit
Dont need one as my basses rarely go out of tune. purely a guitard's device.
bremen
http://tinyurl.com/3tdne9o
This links to a CNN story about the death of a boy in Bahrain...shurely shome mishtake? Anyway. My basses only seem to go out of tune after they've been in a gig bag and/or suffered extreme temperature changes. Never need tuning mid-gig. lojo
Its not really an issue to tune a guitar or bass, and tweak it a little during a set, in fact its all part of the experience for a player and as an onlooking, seeing someone tweak the pegs during or between songs, just makes it real and human Voice pitch adjusters and these devices, we dont need them
