Bongo 5 value

Hi all

In the second hand market, what roughly are Bongo 5 HH basses 'worth', not taking into account they are a little 'out there'.

I'd say £800 would be what i'd expect to see. Maybe a little more if it's a rare colour or absolutely mint.

I agree £850 - £900 depending on conditions but Gareth don't forget I sold my few months old mint Sapphire Black Bongo 5HHP (p = piezo) to Guenter on the EBMM forum in Germany for £1300 in Oct 2010, it was immaculate with the original hard case and candy. He's been a happy German ever since.

That's my thoughts exactly Fran, if someone wants one, and is waiting for one used to come up, they tend to go for a high value. Of course yours had the icing on the cake piezo, but its interesting to know if you look after you gear, you can get a good value for them.

Im still pondering getting one.

agree...around 800/900 is the bongo value in European Market

Well that particular Bongo 5 on ebay with some minor scuffs went for a very good price and free delivery incl all for £628.60!! Not bad, whoever bought it did well, the original case was also included in the sale. Attaboy!

Here is a funny thing, I would never let the condition of a bass stop me buying it or make me pay
More for it.
But then all of fran's basses are in better than showrom
Condition and he got a very high price for his bongo
