This is NOT from the Squier range of basses currently on the market in the £200-£300 range. Good as they are, this is a top quality bass from a different era altogether. Made In Japan.

Has some war marks, but nothing untowards for a 1983 bass. The SQ series is not as rare as the JV series, I believe, but nevertheless comes from the early 80's when Squier were creating top top quality basses stamped Made In Japan, and easily equal to anything from Fender. These aren't easy to come across.

This one plays beautifully with a sweet fast fretboard and that great combo between P and J pick ups.

There have been some mods made by Andy:
- the original white p/gard was replaced by a Fender tortie as in the pics. (White one is included in the sale)
- the p/up cover is added
- and a Badass bridge

The J pick up was added by the person Andy bought from and is from "vintage stock', but I know little more than that. Suffice to say, it sounds great.

Andy's original post is here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...;hl=squier+1983

Can meet within reasonable distance for petrol money. Payment by bank transfer, or Paypal but fees must be covered by purchaser.

Please check my feedback, I've sold on here before and you can buy with confidence.

I would've been up for it, but just bought a flat, so very cash light...
