I think this guy is amazing....

for sure he fills up the space with notes, but i love the notes he fills it up with..

for those who dont know the bass its an MTD KZ6.. the pups are Ken Smith custom the pre is stock... but damn he needs to dial in the mids a bit on this vid.. For me hes up there with Sharay Reed... but have you heard of him??.. shocking..

Yup - RHCP/Iggy guy has it for me. Particularly impressed with the articulation he gets on the high triplet in the main riff. No fumbling or blurring, you can hear every note, every time. I wish I could get my fingers to move that fast ...

That RHCP/Iggy guy is class!.... :) :)

Always Liked Zander Zon... great feel...

And Lydia....

These guys are getting pretty well know now though, I reckon...

There's a lot of talent out there in Tinternet world..... (lotta sh*te too mind!)

Love davidsinrocks, he is insane and has made rhcp one of my favourite bands. Which might be why i also love this guy who i believe is a member here.

I appreciate Green Day might not be everyone's cup of tea, but this bloke is good.

Shame that the sound quality lets the clip down a bit. He plays with a clarity and conviction I can only dream of... Love the neck bend at 36"...

Also this guys play-along to Rio:

A great rendition and he's changed it enough to make it his own.

Awesome.

Huw Foster. Can't link up because I'm at work. His Do I Do is excellent as is his rendition of Human Nature. Brilliant faces as well.

Posts on here I believe. Cheers if you're reading this. I've almost got that Tower of Power tune down taking pointers from your vid.

That rocked! (I do like a bit of self-indulgence from time to time).

What an awesome rendition! At first I wasn't sure how good this thread would be (I expected it would be mostly naff stuff like the bloke with the Flea bass and the guy playing Green Day). Bubinga's find is quite remarkable, especially that second tune! The guy has skills!

This guy is absolutely awesome. Such clean, tight playing with great tone. He obviously has good taste in basses! I love his videos:

I have seen that video of the bloke playing the Ritter before and I thought it was a very sedate and dull performance of Bach, lacking any kind of pasion or fire! This is much better in every respect:
