Yes I know. Not only was he a much better bassist than me, he's a lot funnier. The baxterd.
EdwardHimself
I was reading an article the other day which said that Keanu Reeves out of the matrix is left handed but plays the bass right handed apparently.
dannybuoy
Chris Morris came to one of my gigs once! Actually he was there to see his nephew's band. I think I was the only person around who recognised him, so I chatted him up at the bar.

Steve Coogan once asked me if he could play my bass once ( he was "inspired" I said no )

flyfisher
Does Lester Holt qualify as famous? (probably only in the USA). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lester_Holt Anyway, he plays bass for 'Band from TV' fronted by Hugh Laurie. Yeah, I know, getting a bit tenuous now . . .

He also played(still does?) in a band called,I think, Captain Howdy.
louisthebass
I've had the privilege of playing bass alongside James May's brother a couple of times when he's stood in for the drummer in the band I play with. Good drummer!
great top gear moment that. Jezza reminds me of a drummer I used to play with as a younger man who we used to call Dr Who and (on occasion) Corporal Jones if you watch them doing the "drill" in Dads Army youll see what I mean. that Drummer went on to be Sh*t hot player and totally showed us up for our sneeers, so the story has a happy end. I dont think Jez can say the same
