JTUK
Any note on the B string ..esp from E down. I like slap parts down there. Who needs an open E...???
L_Bass_Dog85
The F# on the E from my Ibanez gives out a nice round and slightly bright tone. The Rotosound PSDs may have something to do with it! Luke

Clarky
F sharp (on the E string) - a large proportion of Rattlin Bone basslines are based around it!
Grand Wazoo
These notes are my favourite always... they all sound good to me, never had a dull one

Fat Rich
C on the A string, especially if followed by C on the low B string. Sounds kind of purple with a hint of blue in the overtones. Burple, marvelous. Edited September 6, 2011 by Fat Rich
Green Alsatian
F# on the E string, usually hammered-on from an open E.
bassace
No doubt about it: B on the A string because when the band does its final flag waver we finish with a Bb number, there is an eight bar drum break and we finish up on a strong Bb. Except, except............I play a B, the band members turn round and glare at me and I slide down to Bb with a smile. They hate me for it but I like being a bit subversive and I've never really grown up.
charic
F on the G string (10th fret). Dunno why though
Lozz196
B on the A string, lush.
+1 Last practice I was playing Swords of a Thousand Men, by Ten pole Tudor, which is primarily on this note. The singer went out for a leak, and when he came back in, said "that note you`re playing rattles the windows in the bog". Very satisfying! Skol303
A low F for me please, Bob. Nice and growly, but with a bit more 'individuality' than an open E or low G. But that probably makes no F'ing sense whatsoever...
