noelk27 Posted September 10, 2011 Share Posted September 10, 2011 Well, it states on the Fender website, on the Marcus Miller artist profile page that "Fender introduced its Marcus Miller Jazz Bass® guitar in 1998" before starting work on a five-string version in 2001 (although it doesn't say when that version was released).
