EUROSTEVE
I have recently moved to Melbourne from Portugal and getting my bass across is proving rather pricey... i have landed a teaching job in a guitar store who have a selection of basses i have looked into buying for said purpose buuuut does anyone know what an Ibanez SR885LE would go for? They have one in the 2nd hand area but are unsure what they want to charge. It's Japanese made couple of scuffs but looks/plays great, any Ibanez bass geeks around? geilerbass
From what I've observed, Japanese, non-prestige Ibanez SRs seem to change hands for anything between £150 and £600, depending on condition. Some would argue they are worth more (particularly considering that certain models seem to be quite rare), but it's a fairly niche market - they're worth a lot to those who like them, but as the market it small, there's not a huge demand. For that particular one, I would possibly pay £250-300, were I in the market for one, but others would maybe see it go for more or less. This is all opinion of course - I'm not speaking from any position of authority.
