overwater#1
I have never used a double bass pickup before believe it or not, as I have only ever done orchestral work. What is this like for tone, and volume? Feedback, interference? Do I just fit this, and plug straight into amp via jack lead? Please could you describe its attributes a bit, and I might be pursuaded to have it. I was prospectively going to be getting a bass with a pickup fitted, but this has now been posponed... Thanks very much for your help! Matt
overwater#1
This is piezo only so it is not prone to feedback like microphone-based systems. It gives you the sound of your bass but amplified, I have found it to be really faithful. You just fit it on the bridge, plug the jack into the socket ant there you go - it has no controls so you adjust your sound and volume on your amp.
Do you just slip it under the wings of your bridge, or do you find you have to wedge it under with wood or something? overwater#1
This is my bridge though, on the bass I am using currently. I am hoping to upgrade soon though... Not sure whether it would work on this bridge?
