joe_bass Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Combination of the fact Warwicks still seem to be a bit unpopular plus economic times. Most expensive/top end basses seem to take months to sell on here, unless its a GB or a Wal. Hold out Markus, a buyer will be along soon enough.
Chris2112 Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 What a stunning bass. I'll have one of these one day!

Tandro Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011
What a stunning bass. I'll have one of these one day!
That's my motto too...but 'one day' is not today Checked under the cushions on the sofa...nope...could not find enough cash...all the best with the sale though...
RichF Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 bar-gaain. One day people will look back at the days these types of basses went for this price and think "**** me!" Someone take this fab bass of this man's hands quick.
LukeFRC Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 thought of putting it in a shop for them to sell? they will take a cut obviously, but you may have more luck.
LukeFRC Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011
Yeah man, theres one in glasgow but i aint givin them 20% for it to sit there n be abused. Way too nice a bass for that
well 20% of it will go to the taxman surely? Which one, strings and things? You might be better off at a specialist bass shop down in england. Or go to tat-chat and find a bass playing tattooist who would want to swap the stuff you need for a bass. anyway good luck
throwoff Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 The arse is well and truly out of the second hand warwick market. Pity really as they are SO good.
Oldman Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Ok, now that your sale deadline special price is done, what's the new price?
Chris2112 Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 Thats the problem with sales and deadlines, once it's over and the bass hasn't sold it's then considerably less attractive at 'full price'. Difficult game, these days.
throwoff Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Madness. These things are over 3k new (3.5?) and a minter cant make 1600 quid? Just shows what I think most of us already knew, that Warwick are not the desirable thing right now, There is a Vette standard fully active on gumtree right now for 350! in mint condition. 350 quid for a fully active German built bass and it is minter than mint.
Tandro Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Here's to wishing I had money to make an offer...

Trace_n_bass Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 From a fellow Stage II owner I can confirm this bass in a league above any other Warwicks, or any other bass I own or have owned, including a Warwick Jazzman, Musicman stingray, status basses, and others. The quality of sound is so good I've been known to record without a pre-amp. The bass is solid as a rock, never goes out of tune, and always looks good as the wood is so hard that it doesn't pick up dinks and scratches. Well worth the money if you can afford it - even if you have to sell off the rest of your bass collection! Best of luck with the sale Markus!

Chris2112 Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Having just laid my hands on an amazing Streamer, I can confirm they are definitely 'all that'! I can't believe this one hasn't sold. Here is my new bass.
It just takes me back to owning my Thumb. I owned that and thought "christ, these Warwick basses are bloody good. Now I can see why they have such a dedicated following". Being daft, I traded the Thumb, but coming back to this Warwick reminds me of just how well I get on with Warwick basses. That 'sound' is the sound I want these days. And I am stunned every time I get the streamer out. Perfect shape, balance, feel and tone. It's a masterful item. I could quite happily play nothing other than Warwicks and ACG basses now.

As I say, I'd be quite happy just building a collection of high end Warwicks (though I don't get on with Corvettes).
