Hutton Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Maybe if you didn't insist on collection only you would broaden the number of people interested. Good luck with the sale. It's a great looking Stingray.

Can anyone suggest/advise me how I could wrap the bass? It will be in the hardcase, but what else do I need to do for protection?
Hutton Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 I acquire a suitably sized box usually from my local music store. Because I am a good customer I never have a bother in getting a box. As your Stingray is in it's own hardcase I wouldn't see the necessity to pack inside the case. The M'man cases are a good fit. I pack the space between the case and the inside of the box with bubble wrap/cardboard/newspaper so that the case cannot move inside the box. I have yet to have a problem. I'm surprised your Stingray is still here at this price. It's a great buy. We must all be short of cash!

But I just cant afford anything else. I have just upgraded my DJ equipment look below and see what I've ruined my bank balance with..... Ahh, sod it. I will relist it on the 'Bay with posting available. Will keep you guys updated!
Higgie Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 (edited) Just want to say, Perry is a nice, genuine bloke, and I would have no hesitation in dealing with him what so ever. I've been to play this bass and it seriously does play as well as it looks, and sounds the absolute b*ll*cks. If I'd been able to scrape the cash together in time, this would have come home with me yesterday. Seriously gutted about it!! So, here's a free bump, and if its still around when I've got the cash, I'll nab it. Edited June 9, 2008 by Higgie

The bass is mint no scratches vitually no fret wear. The bass has been professionally set-up my Chris at Mcyntyre Guitars www.mcintyreguitars.com Come with Musicman hardcase Collection only as I want to hand it over in it's mint condition. The Transluciant Orange with matching headstock is rare and I have never seen the scratchplate on any other orange Musicman. I'm asking for £850 [/quote] Hey mate are u interested ina. Swap for an iceni? Its worth about 1000 so its a good deal! I'm just after that exact musicman! Rog
gafbass02 Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 (edited) Take it!, for gods sake take it! Edited June 9, 2008 by gafbass02
Dubs Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 it's almost painful watching this sit here @ £675 with no cash buyers trying to rip Perry's arm off... nicest stingray I've ever seen?...quite probably, yes.
Thunderthumbs Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I've had my 91 Thumb 5 NT advertised as sale or possible trade. MM4s interested me, and this would be very interesting, so it's a shame it's a cash sale jobby. Ah well.

Nicest Stingray IMO too. Was so gutted that I couldn't get it after all.
Kev Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 i don't think its goin anywere mate, reckon you might still nab it if you get the cash together
Higgie Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 That's the thing - I only get 2 days pay this week, so I wouldn't have the full amount till next friday - And Perry is trying to shift it before then, so may as well see if he gets any offers first
Exile252 Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Has this been sold yet? If it hasn't I'd be very surprised, best looking Sterling I've ever seen, have a bump.
Kev Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 (edited) what sterling would that be this would be a musicman stingray Edited June 19, 2008 by BassManKev
Exile252 Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 (edited) Ah yes......your right...... Why did I think it was a Sterling Edited June 19, 2008 by Exile252
minty fresh death Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 This bass is worth more than 675 even in our sh*tty economic climbate, however, due to the sh*tty economic climbate I don't have 675 I wouldn't drop the price anymore man, just play the waiting game.
Exile252 Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 If I could, I would buy this bass no doubt. Though if I sold my gear I could. But I'd feel bad as my mum and dad bought me a new guitar at crimbo With out that I'd be £175 off anyway. Darn this cruel world! Hehe. Crosses Fingers that no one buys this bass till I miraculously gain £175 to buy it
Exile252 Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 (edited) BAh! Well done on probably one of the best buys on this forum haha. Edited June 20, 2008 by Exile252
