New Site problem - ordering of 'My Content'

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

If I go to 'My Content' the ordering seems to be a bit erratic.

Within the first page, it seems to be ordered by most recently updated, which is good, what I'd expect. However if you go to the second page, you find topics much more recent than the last topic on the first page. Same for third page etc.

I've also found the same problem on 'Content I Follow'

This is a bug surely ? Any chance of a fix ?

Andy

Is anyone looking at this please, it's a bit bonkers. 'My Content' is mostly ordered nicely by date, until it gets to the last page , then there's a whoopsy (technical term). I've circled the misplaced item in red in these snapshots of the end of page 2 and the beginning of page 3 (my last page).

This is obviously a bit annnoying as one of the most recently updated threads is on the very last page, out of sequence.

Could somebody take a look please ?

Thanks, Andy

Someone will be on it as soon as possible. There's loads going on behind the scenes at the mo... We're running out of coal to keep the engine going :) We'll get all the bugs sorted over the next day or so.

I appreciate things might be a bit frantic right now (I've been through a few site launches) ... just wanted to be sure it was on a list somewhere, to be tackled somewhen, and not completely overlooked :)

BTW ... it's possible that the bug with the mis-sorted (?) thread might be related to the fact that I have content in that thread, but I don't follow the thread (it's too busy, I rely on someone quoting my messages to get a notification). I think virtually all other threads in which I have content, I also follow the thread.

Then again, that could be a red herring ....

Oooh, has this been fixed on 'my content' ? Looks like it right now. Thanks for that :)

Still got problems on 'Content I follow', though ... each page in that starts with recent Items and goes back to ancient history ... not very useful.

No, I take it back, it's broken again, in exactly the same way, with the same thread.

I've just noticed that this bug is happening with a few more recent threads I've participated in. At first I thought they were missing altogether from 'My Content', but then I remember this bug, so I tried the LAST page of 'My Content' and there they were at the top. The topics are

Just realised this bug appears to be much worse on 'content I follow' . Each page of topics has a range of dates that overlaps massively with the previous page. So to find recent updates in 'content I follow' I have to go through every single page. Since 'Just Items I follow' is also broken (see here) the follow feature is completely unusable for me right now.

Sorry. Not trying to nag, I know you guys are all volunteers. Just clarifying the problems I see.

I'm still getting this same problem ... the last page has some of the most recent threads.

I thought there was a fix for this ? Any news on that ?
