It has been my main bass for over 10 years. It is worth mentioning that this bass has been looked after and regularly serviced but it has been used, it's not been hung on a wall and there is some wear. I have tried to show this in the pics. From similar postings I would be looking for offers in the region of £2500. It is a March 1990 Mahogany cored, American Walnut facing. Serial number W 3376. One of a pair originally built for the Bass Centre in London, hence the sticker on the back of the headstock. After I 1st got it I was lucky enough to have it given the once over by Pete Stevens while he was still running Electric wood in High Wycombe. It has it's original fibreglass wal hard case. As there's been a bit of history of wal's being used in ebay cons, I'd prefer to do any business face to face for both our sakes. In the trade world I would be interested in markbass gear ie cmd121P with an extension cab or barefaced cabs. They have to be good quality and light Edited March 19, 2012 by walbassuk
Dr.Gonzo Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Yes, nice bass - very tempting! I'll give it another wait for a Pro IIE, but thanks for offering and good luck with your sale .
gary mac Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Wish I had the dosh Paul but mine went on a 70's P. Have a bump for what looks like a very lovely Wal.
walbassuk Posted October 22, 2011 Author Posted October 22, 2011 May be showing my ignorence here, but I have no idea what a pd1800 is, enlighten me.
Clarky Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 I read that as 1800 pounds and I think I know what your answer would be (same as mine would be in your shoes)
walbassuk Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 Yes thanks for pointing that out, price drop..............Not quite that much of a drop Hans.
Soliloquy Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Very nice bass. What's with all of the strange bits in the first posting ?
walbassuk Posted October 24, 2011 Author Posted October 24, 2011 Yes it appears it didn't like ' in the text. So I've hopefully tieded it up now. Hopefully makes more sense.
MarkusWarwick Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Amazing bass dude. A friend o mine has one o these and i love it sooo much when iv been lucky enough to jam it. Its superb
Andy Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 [sup]Great bass at a very good price - have a bump on me [/sup]
walbassuk Posted November 22, 2011 Author Posted November 22, 2011 Well it wasn't traded, it's around 8 - 9 Lbs in weight. But I've not had any firm offers so this looks like staying in the collection, cool!
dmccombe7 Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Shame to sell such a great bass. I would love another one of them. Made the mistake of selling mine back in 80's. Huge regret. They are extremely versatile and can cover every style of music IMO. Good luck with the sale. Dave
Graham Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 I don't know why I torture myself by looking in threads like this one, but I keep doing it. Gorgeous bass, good luck with the sale and sorry to hear why you're selling it
walbassuk Posted March 1, 2012 Author Posted March 1, 2012 Yes, it's not a case of wanting rid of it, but needs must. Thanks for the moral support, put people in this direction if you think they'd like a great bass. I am also trying to sell or trade my stack as well http://basschat.co.uk/topic/168975-fsft-bass-rigline6-euphonic-audioneed-light-weight-replacement/page__p__1552651__hl__line6__fromsearch__1#entry1552651 If I can move that I may be able to hang onto the Wal.
walbassuk Posted March 15, 2012 Author Posted March 15, 2012 Bump for the hell of it. There are a few Wal's knocking about, here's mine!
Clarky Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 You have a beautiful bass there (which I can't afford). Just a thought but some Wals have gone for silly money on eBay recently (one Mk 1 went for over £3k earlier this week) - have you thought about trying that route?
