OutToPlayJazz
Just great... I thought I was just about satisfied on the Status front and many of you will have seen my new S2-Classic & KingBass on the bassporn forum - But then TerryK put his gorgeous 1990 Series II up for sale - It's so much like my 1988 original one, I waaaaant it! So here it is, guys... Should I sell this brand new S2... ...so I can buy Terry's lovely SII... ...which is so like my original one here... I miss it! By all means, tell me to stop blubbing over old basses, LOL
The Burpster
That SII is indeed a lovely looking bass.... It doesnt sound to me that you have teh same connection with that new one as you do the oldie? I feel that you've answered your own question bud! warwickhunt
Buy it THEN make your mind up... or keep them both, that's how my Warwick collection started!
Deep Thought
I think you know the answer.....
martthebass
Don't do it Rich, you're just bored (like me) and fancy a change for changes sake. Alternatively, you could buy it and sell the $$ to help fund it (the pain )
steve-soar
The older Series II's were much better looking wern't they? and Terry's is stunning.
thedontcarebear
The older one looks much nicer I think.

The original Series II makes me nostalgic, although in truth there's not going to be much between them, as they both have the same construction. If anything, my new Walnut one is more versatile with the KingBass 3-band mid-switchable electronics package. Think of it as wanting your youth back, LOL I'm going to give both new Statiis a good hard gigging this week & see how I feel then. I'm in love with the new KingBass, so no danger there! Rich. Merton
If I could afford it I'd buy your new one so you could fund Terry's. Or maybe I'd just buy Terry's myself to save you the hassle!! But I can't

SpitfireXXII
BUY IT...... I always regret selling my Status. and that one's a beaut.
Old Horse Murphy
I'd go for it Rich. You can always get a new one again if it doesn't work out. But, how often does a vintage one in that sort of condition come along? It's stunning
Jono Bolton
Yup, buy it, even if it is just for nostalgias sake. I wish I still had my first six string, a salmon pink Danelectro U2 that I picked up for the princely sum of £60 about 7 years ago. The input socket broke so I bought a Squier strat, then realised my dads mate could fix it for nothing, so it got sold on. I really wish I still had it
