OK, it's a lot of money, but you'd likely want to hang on to it.

I doubt it's everyone's cup of tea - I didn't realise it was my cup of tea until I saw it - but I reckon this is utterly gorgeous.

I reckon that may sell at that price, helped by the fact the wood facing is highly unusual (not really my thing but I can see why you would think it pretty). The Bass Gallery sold a vaguely similar pale olive wood faced Mk1 recently that was listed at £3500 and also has an attractive red stained Mk1 on stock at £3500. My more ordinary walnut/ebony Mk 1 fretless on the other hand had 60 watchers on eBay and no bids at £2700, sigh ....

Is that maple or sycamore? I know Wal used sycamore a fair bit because it was easily available. It typically is a lot paler than maple.

European maple is another name for sycamore :)
