I always think of Mark King when I start slapping, and when I can play along with one of his songs I think "yeah, I'm doing alright here". Then I put on a Stuart Hamm record and realise my talent is not limitless!

I bet in reality it sounded good but the primitive recording gear just can't cope with the signal, I bet it was cool if you were in the room.
