Well, it was a small but select gathering yesterday. Really enjoyed meeting all four of you!
Let's look on it as a trial run for a bigger event in the spring. :)

Ha ha......

Had lot of fun yesterday. GREAT bunch, typical Basschat nice guys with no egos.
TRBboys Markbass stuff had me looking in the amps for sale....

Great to have a few that could play drums and guitar as well as bass allowing for some fun jamming to the standards. Sounded good (most of the time) !!!!


The video didnt turn out too good (crap phone) but I might post it or keep it for blackmail purposes

I forgot to pay for the room - who wants me to send money to them

Thanks for posting the pic. So glad my back is to the audience so you can't see the 'rabbit caught in the headlights' expression as I try to remember where the E string is, lol :)

Just realised how fat that lineup pic makes me look - I must have been digging in my back pocket for something for my jacket to stick out that far, I'm only ten stone! :)

There is no limit on when this can be, Jan or Feb is perfectly feasible if we get people committed (in the attendance rather than psychological sense).

You played great and sounded amazing, loved the tone of the sandbergs + markbass rig. Never tried markbass before but it sounded so smooth, I thought they would be more 'hi-fi' - i guess they could be but i liked the thicker sound you got out of it

Thanks Dave, very kind of you to say so. Whilst were complementing each other, your guitar playing was pretty smokey! Haven't played in 20 years my arse....... :)

I'm amazed I just about managed to hold it together on the drums for a whole song!

im in brum too...but just missed this one!!......jugs been shut for years!!...the upstairs of the hare n hounds in kingsheath would be good...or maybe the gig room at robannas...but im up for a bash...be good to meet like minded people who all probly get told to turn it down by guitarists all the time!!

would have liked to bring my gear down and meet some of ya but i was in hospital the morning after having some of my shoulder drilled off so i had loads to sort out and get ready.

if i am in a better state than i am now when the next one comes along, i will defo be there. Sure i can drag a few of my fellow bassists from Stoke along to join in.

I'm looking at potentially doing a bash for MusicRadar forumites in the same place sometime in the new year, would probably be cool for any BC Brummies to pop in for a drink and a jam too.
