Always makes me laugh - and I really do like the sound of that bass!
Cosmo Valdemar
Nothing much to say really. Fender need to reissue the slab, it would sell millions. I'm finding it amusing how many different versions of 'growl' there seem to be in this thread... And some interesting interpretations of 'aggressive' tone too! Edited September 29, 2011 by Cosmo Valdemar
Cosmo Valdemar
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exYpJR4n-Uk&feature=related My 'other' choice. Still Entwistle. Excuse the mildly ridiculous choice of song (it's a Disco piss-take) but it's probably the finest recorded example of his astounding Alembic stereo sound. If the riff ain't enough, jump to the monster solo at 1:22. He even throws in a little 8 string later, just for a laugh.

Chris2112
Michael Manring's tone is quite simply incredible. Which it needs to be, to match his superb playing. Edited September 30, 2011 by Chris2112
