Nothing much to say really. Fender need to reissue the slab, it would sell millions.
I'm finding it amusing how many different versions of 'growl' there seem to be in this thread... And some interesting interpretations of 'aggressive' tone too!

My 'other' choice. Still Entwistle. Excuse the mildly ridiculous choice of song (it's a Disco piss-take) but it's probably the finest recorded example of his astounding Alembic stereo sound. If the riff ain't enough, jump to the monster solo at 1:22. He even throws in a little 8 string later, just for a laugh.

Thanks to Cosmo for the two Entwistle's -- Reminded me why I started to play bass. On the Sparks one If you roll or switch to just left channel you can enjoy just bass & drums Loverly!!!
