Mike Wellington
Hi there - first post on Bass Chat - I have an early nineties Trace Elliot combo with one large 14" (I think) cone which has the GP11-MkV pre amp with 11 band graphic EQ. It's pretty much the same size as the more common 4 by 12. It comes with a foot pedal controller. It's in 'good' condition for it's age. The cone was replaced about 15 years ago with a Peavy replacement. I'm not sure anyone would want to cart such a heavy amp about anymore but the GP11 preamp itself could be rehoused in a small rack and used with a separate speaker cab. I'm looking to sell it but I have no idea how much it's worth. I've seen that the GP12s go for about £200/£300 but I cant seem to find much info about the GP11 MkV. I'm going to continue searching but wanted to see if anyone on the Basschat.co.uk forum could shed some light on this for me. Thanks in advance. Delberthot
It'll be a 15" speaker in there and I think there's another one for sale on the forum for £150. Unfortunately they don;t go for a great deal of money as a lot of people are going for more lightweight stuff these days. its not what its worth but around what you'll get for it
Mike Wellington
Right thanks very much for that Delberthot - so I take it its not as 'good' as the GP12?
Delberthot
Personally its miles better but its old, heavy and not trendy Thornybank will probably be along soon. He's forgotten more about Trace than know
