Shockwave
Hey guys! From the guy who brought you, "How to ruin a perfectly good if well used Pedulla Custom shop MVP5" (See here) Comes a new project to excite and appall. Take one 1979 Gibson Grabber that has seen better days and one somewhat insane OCD guy who hates damage that hasent been caused by himself, strip the paintwork, remove the frets, remove all of the neck finish, sand the fingerboard down flat, add new frets, refinish in Black, get decent bridge and play! This is what it's like currently. I already got a new black scratchplate from Pickguard heaven which fits like a glove! At the moment I am struggling to find a bridge that is low profile enough to fit onto it without the action being too high, any suggestions? May also consider Hipshot ultralites to help with the neck dive.... Rob.
cocco
I've been looking for a replacement bridge for mine with no avail since I got it. There's not a lot out there. If you do find anything let me know. If I were you I'd just stick the black scratch plate on and leave it but hey, thats just me!
Shockwave
Ok well, I have given up on the idea of refinishing the body for the moment due to lack of funds, however here is the neck, stripped down refretted and glossed up! I ordered a Hipshot A Style bridge with 18mm string spacing, its is nearly exactly the same dimensions of the old bridge and the string thru holes line up exactly! Should be ready to take home next week.

Shockwave
Hey guys, its finished! Body will be refinished when I get around to it, but I am very happy with the way it plays and how the bridge worked out!
