A few years ago a relative of a close friend from the States built me my lovely 5 string fretless. Originally he was going to build me both fretted and fretless version but at the time my needs were more of the fretted variety, so the fretted came first (and last). Last year I had it de-fretted and it feels like it always wanted to be that way. As you can see, it's basically a Wal-shape body and is made from black walnut. Seymore Duncan Basslines Phase II Passive soapbars with STC-2p active EQ. Schaller BM light machine heads. Schaller 3d-5 bridge. So, here are the photos of the PaulCustom5 built by Bill Staudt.
