MacDaddy
Anyone had a go on one of these? It really appeals to the 80's metal kid in me that never grew up At less than £200.00 (if you shop around) it's got to be worth a punt? I'd probably order one blind if I had the space, but interested to hear what others think.
geoffbyrne
Looks like epic neck dive on that....... G.
Gust0o
For that price bracket you could also look at the Epiphone V, if you were adamant about the shape. I think it's a given that they'll both have some balance issues, but that's totally up to you as to whether it's a deal-breaker. I think it could be fun, but I would be banking on it being low/lower quality.
MacDaddy
Quite a thick clubby neck on it too.
possible deal breaker for me, but TBH it's more about the image. There's something about a bass V that is so
dc2009
V basses are cool, but try living with one! I think that's where a modern thunderbird is a bit more reasonable. One thing I've found, the cheapest V style instruments don't have any grippy material inbuilt where it should rest on your knee, so it slides off! I also think that bass looks like it has dirt cheap electronics and finishing, I think you could probably make a better bass yourself for the same money (maybe even give it a fender neck or something). Darkstrike
Lotta room there to pop in a neck pickup of your choice.
True. At £200 you could mod the hell out of it, but why not get one second hand and save yourself a bit?
Darkstrike
Yup, could even save the price of the mods, which would be sweet.
