deksawyer
A friend is looking to sell this and he has no idea what it's worth. By all accounts it's in fantastic condition and sounds superb. Any ideas as to it's worth, how old it is etc...? cheers D.
Mr. Foxen
Old big cabs don't make much money sadly. Probably well to get more than £200 for it, and that will take ages. What speakers are in it? Might go better seperately.
51m0n
The old HH 215s weighed about 15 tonnes each! Is it one with a front cover that clips in place for trasnport? If so its only good for about 200w (and thats being generous) and is a complete backbreaker (ask my osteopath), and my one never ever sounded 'fantastic', passable yes, fantastic no.... I would be looking for £50 realistically, maybe £100 if you're lucky (mine cost £100 s/h in immaculate condition, in 1992).
Spike Vincent
I think £50 - 75 is realistic. There's a nostalgia value, but they're not exactly practical compared to modern equipment. And yes,I used to have one. Alec
Certainly nostalgia for me, I used to use an HH head & cab in the mid 80s at university, and had then had a combo. Both were great at the time. But yes, heavy, and time has moved on, so wouldn't expect too much, sadly...

AKA
Thats harsh ! Poor old HH!!!
casapete
Aaah yes, the old 215 BL. HH marketed these as an all round general purpose job (bass/keys/guitar etc), and they were right heavy buggers - 132lbs/60kgs of Taberpan (chipboard) heaven ! 200 watts / 4 ohms. Most people paired them up with an HH VS amp top. (we always used to laugh at their guitar version - HH VS (versus) Musician!) Think the later cabs (without the clip on cover) had the uprated 1500E speakers which were a bit more use IIRC. Get what you can for it is my advice - £75 would be a result I reckon.
