catmanhog
Hello all... I have been offered a rather splendid Squier precision, a 2005 version, at a great price. Anyone have one of these and how do they compare with the other Squire basses out there, like the affinity P -' s for instance. Any info greatly appreciated, as ever! Thanks. Lozz196
Depends on what specific model it is, but I`ve had a couple of Squiers, including an Affinity, and the quality of them was very good. The sound wasn`t as full and rich as Fenders, but then again, the Fenders are a lot more expensive. I wouldn`t class Squier as a cheap make, more of a "cheaper than" make. mike257
I've got an Affinity P-Special that's probably about 13/14 years old now - it's always played great, and over the years it's had the bridge, jack socket, wiring, pickups, pots and scratchplate replaced, so now it sounds as good as it plays too. If you get one that feels good in your hands, it's a decent bass for the money, and easy to improve with off-the-shelf parts.
