Dood Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 You can find me on Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and Soundcloud as DoodOnBass. My soundcloud doesn't have anything on it yet, but I have quite an exciting band on the way that will no doubt make full use of my currently empty profile! Quote
krysh Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 let me start with tonights jamsession at my bands rehearsal (me on guitar). directly recorded and unedited with my roland r-05. the bass is a usa lakland 55-94 through an old swr bass 350 redface and a hartke xl 4x10" + older crate 2x10" (the ampeg type). and this is my soundcloud site. I'm happy about feedback. Quote

urb Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Just added this - an instrumental take on Talk Talk's 'Life's What You Make It' http://soundcloud.com/munkio/lifes-what-you-make-it Hope you dig... vocals coming soon Quote
BottomE Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 This is the G&L Tribute L2000 that i just traded. Had to wait about 3 weeks for the new DR strings to lose their zippiness. Grabbed a midi file of Grover Washington Jnr track, Just The Two of Us, and played along to the keys and drums part. Only for a minute or so... Good stuff though. Garry Edited July 28, 2012 by lowdown Quote

I was in such a rush to get something down that i didn't refer to the original track at all and just hacked away as usual Great basses though! Really impressed and got to wonder how much better the US one might be? Quote

Pinball Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 My latest effort! I got a helper this time. My friend Amy did some backing vocals. http://soundcloud.com/mole-music-1 Quote
BottomE Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Another idea from the disturbed depths of Mr Smiths mind. Got a call went "hey i need some bass on a track. I have written a Prog Latin track." FFS the guy is nuts. I had a bash. This is really the sketching out recording to see what to do with the song. Pls ignore quality of sounds. Its the idea thats important (crazy). Judo Chop Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 http://soundcloud.com/tsunami42 Already wrongly posted this in general discussion, here's four tracks I recorded last month with one of my bands. Badly mixed with quiet bass but still, I'm curious to find out what people think Quote

Skol303 Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Just finished a remix of "Wild Ones" by Flo Rida... http://soundcloud.com/skollob/wild-ones-furler-fat-remix Now to be clear I'm really not a fan of Flo Rida! But I do love the vocal hook of this track, as sung by Sia Furler. So I decided to remix it as some sort of "exorcism" in the hope that I might stop humming it… I'm fairly sure I over-cooked this one and ended up with way too much going on - the bassline alone is built up from approximately 20 separate synths towards the end (no joke) and it's mixed on headphones, so goodness knows what it sounds like through monitors (I dread to think...). Love it or loathe it? Let me know what you think. My wife described it as me "ruining a good song - again", which probably sums it up quite nicely Quote
Mornats Posted August 13, 2012 Author Posted August 13, 2012 Just a reminder that we've got a Basschat group on there too so add your tracks! http://soundcloud.com/groups/basschat Quote
LiamPodmore Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 My friend Jess has recently posted a new cover on her soundcloud (Of Demi Lovato's 'Skyscraper') and it's brilliant. Little issues with the recording, but her voice is getting better and better with every note she sings. Anyway, i just thought i'd share her with the good people of BC once again. Skyscraper-Demi Lovato (Jessica Lauren Smith Cover) And as a little extra burst of awesomeness, the second verse and chorus are sung in spanish which just sounds too good IMO. Dudgeman Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Just posted 7 live tracks from our latest Muse tribute gig. Sadly the MD decided to do a touch of skipping..but considering it is recorded with one of those little Sony stereo mics and had very little fettling the results are really pretty good. http://www.soundcloud.com/hypermused/sets/hypermused-live-at-the-200 Quote
