Skezza
If you buy a Markbass amp in the states can you have it reset to uk voltage when you come over here skez Edited December 19, 2011 by Skezza
Muzz
Yep, there's a jumper, (helpfully marked 110/240) on the board. Well, you can on a LMIII, anyway - I've done it on that one. Takes about 5 mins, and most of that is getting the cover on and off. Don't forget to change the fuse, too. It's a bum-clenching moment switching it on for the first time, tho... stingrayPete1977
Im not sure why the Mark Bass requires a fuse change? The Genz doesn't. I should know this as a sparky Im trying to calculate it in my head but the Genz at pulls a maximum of 3.63 amps at 110V (I presume the MB will be similar?) which works out as 1.73 at 230V. I cant get my head around the fuses characteristics at different voltages or if an amp is an amp as far as the fuse is concerned so a T5A fuse (which is fitted) would be fine for both if a little high for the UK market? Any experts out there?
