mikegatward Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 My first 'proper' bass was a slightly beaten up MIM Jazz I've upgraded it to the point where the upgrade parts are a little wasted on the bass so I've decided to build my own jazz with a nice ash body I've acquired and a maple Mighty Mite neck. I've some never used old Schaller tuners to put on the neck. I'll transfer the J-East pre-amp, Wizards and Badass over from the MIM. Apart from the original pickups, I've kept all the original parts so my question is: Should I get some MIM or similar pickups, refit / re-wire the original parts and sell the MIM as a complete bass Or would I be better selling the parts seperately ? TPTroll Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 What colour is the bass and what neck is it? I may be interested in the body and neck as is. Thanks Quote
Al Heeley Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 I'd be tempted to sell it as parts, you may get more money that way. Quote
BottomE Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 I'd put it together and sell it as its less hassle. One sale and gone. If you sell the bits you'll have to deal with loads of comms questions and it might take time. Quote
